Playback’s choreography is connecting with the aspect of an absent father through the audio cassette recordings he created.  These cassettes come to my possession by the effects of his death. These recordings are neither commercial nor professional. They contained a nonlinear-tapestry-of-sound that, when pieced together, completes an otherwise, fragmented life.

These cassettes and the sounds they preserve are an intimate and private creation of my father.  They answered questions about his years of absences. The awareness of the world and time that surrounded him.

Each cassette is unique. I choose one randomly for every performance.
